THE TRAIL LIES AHEAD
The morning mist surrounds her
and vast open land awaits.
Nothing stands in her way ~ yet,
she hesitates,
waiting in silence.
Sensing her world will soon change,
she pauses to soak in this
place of peace.

WINNING AT LIFE
Morning glory
leaves me feeling
hopeful; kneeling,
I ask for grace.
Full of love He
turns to my face…
here, in this place
you seek, I give
grace and mercy.
You’ve learned to live
My heart, your sieve–
and peace remains.

long hours at desk, shoulders tensing
responsibilities weigh much
surrounded by favorite things
momentary reprieve

A MOTHER’S GOOD NIGHT
A sliver
of silver moon shines
like keys of
happiness
on my child’s cradle. I walk
in stillness and hope.
