looking for inspiration ≠ doing my laundry
Written for “Six Word Saturday”…click here to go to Cate’s blog to read how others describe their life in six words; also posting as Day 79 at “100 Days of Summer” challenge, click here to go to the group’s home page on Facebook. (Decided to take the liberty of not counting a symbol as a word!) 🙂
LOL! I couldn’t help it.

I like doing laundry–it can inspire–ok I am weird–but it’s the truth.

It’s just getting out of my apartment with it that is the hard part.

Don’t mind washing it but detest ironing!

Ironing? Ironing?? What is this ironing of which you speak?

The only job I have not given to my husband is the laundry and with 2 of us I only do it once every 2 weeks.

It’s just me. And I procrastinate until i have a lot to do…and it’s off to the laundromat I go…dragging it out of my apartment is the worst part…after that, I’m ok.

Indeed, Ron. And…if you saw my Facebook post, I found an inspirational place to wait. 😉 …I’ll write later…

Wow – I have a mountain in hand after the visitors left. The washing’s not so bad, but I too hate ironing – weird when you consider that every stage of quilting involves ironing!

I always have a mountain–I’m just one person, but I procrastinate long enough because I get so tired of dragging my laundry out to the laundromat (no washer/dryer in my apt).
I don’t iron too much, but I actually like it (when I have time to do it)…there’s something very satisfying to me about making something pressed crisp. In my (limited!) quilting days (with a group I worked with 15-20 years ago), I readily volunteered for ironing detail! 🙂

I have never found inspiration in my laundry. Just sayin’ 😉

Me either. But my apartment laundromat is right next to the apartment pool. So I sat poolside dangling my feet while waiting for clothes to dry. 🙂

Yes, that’s true. Lets my mind wander. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!

Very funny! However, in the mindlessness of mundane tasks, my muse always seems to percolate–making me dash out of the laundry room to grab a pen and paper and jot those musings down 🙂

🙂 Yes…I will agree. My mind never shuts off, so even doing laundry I can gain inspiration.
…I just don’t like doing laundry! 😉
