Falling snow
in the light of night
creating
hues of blue
reflecting a bright darkness –
takes my breath away.

LIFE AT FORTY
She rested
in his arms, her
hair all-a-tousled;
blush of love
still on her cheeks.
“You’re a vision”
he said.
Smiling,
she remembered
how invisible
she felt
at sixteen.
