Night Vision
Falling snow
in the light of night
creating
hues of blue
reflecting a bright darkness –
takes my breath away.

LIFE AT FORTY
She rested
in his arms, her
hair all-a-tousled;
blush of love
still on her cheeks.
“You’re a vision”
he said.
Smiling,
she remembered
how invisible
she felt
at sixteen.

SUGARPLUMS
In the rush
of the day
my mind is on
the dashing
errands
that consume
the holiday
season.
In the hush
of the night
my heart lingers
on thoughts
of people
(past and present)
who make the
holiday special.
