Echoing, Still

ECHOING, STILL
(a shadorma)

Your words are
silent to me; yet
with this post
(my thousandth)
your inspiration long past
echoes through me still.

AUTHOR’S NOTE: I’ve been writing for just over three years, my blog has nearly 400 followers, and this poem marks my official 1,000th post to my blog’s main page….all because someone else’s words gave me the inspiration to start. Thank you, CDB.

Healing

HEALING
(a shadorma)

My hardship
lessens as, softly,
you echo
the pain in
my heart, understanding me
like none ever have.

Still

STILL

turn the quiet up
you will hear
more
than you can imagine
in His echoes

Written in response to Musical Notes Prompt #4 – which was a “Free For All” (I could use the song given as my inspiration or I could choose one on my own, but stayed within the 15-word limit). I decided to use the opening lines of Eric Church’s song “Smoke A Little Smoke” (…turn the quiet up, turn the noise down…”). To listen to the song, follow this link: http://youtu.be/jIBFBxz1G34. Also posted for Day 57 at “100 Days of Summer” on Facebook.
