Since I Saw You Last

 
SINCE I SAW YOU LAST

Years have passed
since I saw you last;
yet rarely
a day goes
by that I don’t think about
how much I love you.

I see you
in Redbud blossoms,
a wren’s nest,
and even
in the stormy clouds that bring
the Spring time showers.

Your birthday
is just around the
corner. The
fourth one to
be celebrated without
you. I miss you, Dad.
