In This House Of Glass

on living this life,
my prayer
is that I’ll
be quick to love and forgive;
slow in casting stones.

Written for Poetic Bloomings #115: “In This House…”

  1. I would like the same,
    the way I am is lame.
    I don’t forget so easy,
    I guess I am like an elephant,
    because I hardly ever forget.
    Especially the bad.
    Maybe because it mad me so damn mad.
    HUGS.; )

  2. Hey, Paula. I love this poem and agree with its sentiments wholeheartedly. And yet how hard it is to love sometimes and how easy to judge. I guess that is our challenge as Christians and even as part of God’s creation. Thanks for the inspiration!

    1. Gordon! Long time, no see. Hope you’ve been well. Thank you for dropping by and for your feedback on this poem. I was challenged by God in this area recently and have learned that there’s so much more peace in the grace of forgiveness than in world-shattering stone-throwing responses. So happy to have my words inspire. Again…thanks for stopping by!! 🙂
