Nighttime Preyer

NIGHTTIME PREYER
(a shadorma)

Orion.
He waits, bow in hand,
and watches.
The hunter,
stalking his prey in darkness.
Are you the hunted?

    1. Orion has made an appearance in my writing before this one…apparently he’s a favorite of mine, as well. Thanks for your kind words–always encouraging.

  1. The haiku heights prompt for today was also “hunter” – could you shrink it to a haiku to kill two birds with one stone? 🙂 But I do like it as written!

  2. Paula, I like this. Always liked Orion, so easy to find in the night sky. Never thought about who he was really hunting – or if he was hunting me.
