The World At Her Feet

THE WORLD AT HER FEET

She
was
broken,
unsure if
she would ever stand
on her own two feet again, when
along came the one who would help her discover who
he knew (all along) she could be.
No longer broken,
she stands, the
world at
her
feet.

Written for Poetic Bloomings Prompt #95:  Read It In A Magazine (We were to use the title of an article at the title for our poem; I chose “The World at Her Feet” by Jason Wheeler, featured in the April 2012 issue of Texas Monthly — read by me almost a year later, at the beauty salon.)
