Broken: A Place Of Peace

BROKEN: A PLACE OF PEACE
(a shadorma)

Spirited
mare – scared, flinching; eyes
flash wildly
with fear and
her very soul is laid bare –
his whispers soothe her.

  1. I am back from Vermont and reading this again. Horses are a motif with you, aren’t they. It’s not my imagination is it, that I associate you, horses, and poetry? I have decided, after trying, that no one writes a shadorma like you do.

        1. That one holds a special place in my memory. I had first written the wordle to what I thought I was supposed to write, but those words kept wanting to paint a different picture and the 2nd poem was written for the wordle list. Not something I do, much (ever).
