She’s sweet,
he said, but
worth the fuss?
Her figure proved
too straight; her bust,
not enough to hold
his interest.

He watched her
go.

I’m miserable
again, he said,
as he looked
into his glass
and told
the bartender:
I wish
for another.

Inspired by The Sunday Whirl #94: miserable, fuss, wish, go, again, interest, bust, figure, prove, straight, enough, and sweet; and posted for Day #96 for the “100 Days of Fall/Winter 2012” challenge.

    1. Thank you for that, ViV. It took me a while to be inspired by this list, this week. But I did finally get to the point of playing…which I enjoy. 🙂

  1. ViV’s right. To be this short and not have the words stand out… that’s impressive. I had to check the list. I love your line break at ‘bust’. Clever, clever.
