I watch the
Master as He paints
the night sky;
it evolves
from dusky hues to midnight
blue moon is rising

Written in response to We Write Poems prompt #120: colour us a poem; posted today (August 31, 2012 — in honor of today’s “blue moon”) as Day #58 at “100 Days of Summer” on Facebook.

    1. Thanks, Marie!
      According to Wikipedia…”Folklore gave each moon a name according to its time of year. A moon that came too early had no folk name, and was called a blue moon, retaining the correct seasonal timings for future moons.” πŸ˜€
