white-knuckled, they sat
transfixed on the glowing screen ~
the bump: boy or girl?

Written for Three Word Wednesday prompt: bump, knuckle, transfix…and in celebration with friends of mine who just announced their family will be growing. 🙂
Clever, very clever. When mine was done, they showed me in the picture, but the bump still did not look like a boy’s 🙂

🙂 …my friends are not far enough along yet for there to be a “baby bump”, let alone for there to be any “bumps” on the screen!
As always, thanks for the visit!!

Wow, this is great. You cover a lot on so few words.
I used up a lot more than three words for mine.

Terrific haiku. We stayed ‘in the dark’, always, waiting to be surprised.

Thanks so much, Alt! I’m not sure if my friends will “stay in the dark” or not. They’ve had one sonogram–too soon to tell! ~Paula

Hmm…unusual? Is that a good thing or bad thing: to be unusual. And…”funny”: Ha Ha? or “funny”: peculiar!? 😉

Paula, just got to this link. You are SO RIGHT! The words led us each straight to our own… uterus. LOL. Loved this, very gentle and sweet. Amy
